By now, you have most likely heard the term Massive Open Online Course, or MOOC. MOOCs are free, open access online courses. These courses utilize traditional teaching materials such as videos, readings, and problem-solving exercises, while also providing a platform for students and professors to build online communities. Enrollment in MOOCs is exploding! A slew of courses are being offered.
So if you fancy taking a course, translation-related or otherwise, you may wish to review some of the following links: Coursera and EdX are well-established MOOC platforms for finding courses from leading universities. Class Central, a free "MOOC aggregator," references free online courses from multiple providers. Or check out CourseTalk, a bit more sophisticated and user-friendly site which organizes courses by ratings, popularity, subject area, and university. Enjoy!
