Case study: Multilingual quality recovery & typesetting
Background
One of our government clients wanted us to assess an existing translation project from an external party involving 20 languages for materials intended for publication. The project also required full typesetting. After our assessment, we identified significant quality issues and recommended a complete re translation and re typesetting of the content to fit the ISO standard. The client subsequently expanded the scope to 25 languages.
Challenge
A detailed review was conducted and the findings concluded that there was incorrect formatting for right to left (RTL) languages (which had been typeset left to right, rendering the content unreadable). There were also structural and linguistic errors that made the content unsuitable for publication.
Based on these findings, Translationz advised the client that a full re translation and re typesetting would be necessary to ensure accuracy, readability, and publication ready quality.

Challenge
In the midst of a humanitarian crisis, our client urgently needed a key document translated from English into Arabic. The document was intended for individuals in Lebanon, people living in areas affected by instability and conflict and to allow them to apply for an Australian visa. Time was of the essence.
High-Volume Technical Translation for the Mining Sector
Background
An Australian company engaged in gold exploration and mining development, required a comprehensive translation of its Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) and Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) into French for submission to a French-speaking government authority.
Given the technical nature of the documents, which included complex geological, financial, and environmental data, the project demanded absolute accuracy and consistency. The documents totalled over 750,000 words and needed to be completed within a strict three-month deadline.

Client: Department of Health - Queensland
Client Background: The Queensland Department of Health is committed to providing services that ensure all Queenslanders achieve and maintain good health and well-being. The department focuses on various health initiatives and public health communications to promote a healthier community.
The Project: Translation of medical consent forms and patient information sheets into eleven languages. Translated to the required languages and then back translated to English, to allow for optimal communication between staff and patients.
Services Provided: Translationz provided professional translation services including an InDesign file format with the formatted translations. We translated the consent forms and patient information sheets; approximately 10,000 words across the nine documents, into the eleven chosen languages and then carried out back translations to English.
