Client Background: The Queensland Government is the governing authority for the state of Queensland, Australia, responsible for state legislation, public services, and infrastructure.They are dedicated to taking action for the community to improve the lives and the future of Queenslanders.
The Project: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Queensland Government worked to provide Queenslanders with information and updates regarding the implementation of lockdowns and restrictions to slow the rapid spread of the virus, as well as fact sheets, information sheets, how-to guides, and important medical information. To ensure clarity and accessibility for all Queenslanders, the Government contacted Translationz to translate these documents.

Challenges: The Queensland Government needed to quickly and continuously produce information and updates regarding COVID-19 for multicultural communities. As the virus was rapidly spreading and the severity was becoming apparent, lockdowns and restrictions, factsheets and key medical information needed to be implemented to ensure safety and prevent further spread of the virus.
Translationz worked alongside the Queensland Government during this critical time to produce accurate and culturally appropriate translations. We translated documents often into 38 languages within a deadline between 12 to 24 hours.
We were also required to typeset and format each document according to the specific requirements of each language, which can vary significantly. To ensure that the information reached all Queenslanders, Translationz translated these documents accurately and in a culturally appropriate manner into multiple languages, including some of the rarer languages spoken in Australia.
