Today 26th September, in Europe, it is European Day of Languages. Throughout Europe, 800 million Europeans are encouraged to learn more languages, at any age, in and out of school. This is an initiative spearheaded by the Council of Europe 47 member states. The Council encourages linguistic diversity believing it is a tool for achieving greater intercultural understanding and a key element in the rich cultural heritage of its continent. The Council of Europe promotes plurilingualism across Europe. Happy celebrating European Day of Languages!!
