Translationz translator internship program for 2016 is an exciting opportunity for students who are currently enrolled in a university level language translation or interpreting program. The successful applicants will get a taste of the different roles and functions within a translation agency.

The language intern role is highly sought after and historically we have received hundreds of applications. Applications are encouraged from within Australia and overseas. Overseas applicants are responsible flights, visas and arranging accomodation.
The opportunity will be based in our Melbourne office. Some travel around Australia may be required. Travel for business purposes on Translationz projects will be paid.
To be a successful candidate, you must demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An outgoing personality including being honest, smart, happy and fun
- Self starter and self motivated.
Period of internship
8 weeks minimum to 6 months maximum depending on University/College requirement.
Hours of internship
16 hours to 40 hours per week
Payment
This is a paid internship. The payment will be A$3,300 per month including superannuation for a full month and adjusted pro-rata for reduced hours worked.

There are two internships available in 2016.

The internship program will be open for applications from February 1, 2016. Applications will close May 30 2016.
You should be prepared for variety. You will not be translating or interpreting for 8 hours a day. In fact, it is likely that the majority of your time will be working across the different aspects of our agency. Interns are typically involved in all aspects of projects, marketing, client relationship, translation and/or interpreting and more.
